I’ve been asked a few times now, “What is the Lion’s gate portal?”
It is a cosmic, astrological event that takes place on 8 August each year. It marks the alignment of the sun in Leo, the Earth, Orion's Belt, and the star Sirius. The gateway is activated by the rising of the star Sirius and its closest proximity to Earth. Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky. It outshines the rest and has been well-known to ancient civilisations before time existed.
In Ancient Egypt, the star Sirius was known as the “Spiritual Sun”, and when it came into complete alignment with Orion’s Belt and the Earth, it marked the beginning of the Galactic New Year and the opening of the Lion’s Gate Portal. The Ancient Egyptians used this alignment for the cosmic blueprint from which the Great Pyramids of Giza were built.
The alignment is a significant period, an opening of a galactic gate/window which floods Mother Earth with high-frequency energy. It’s an extraordinarily potent time that brings us tremendous opportunity for accelerated spiritual growth, higher consciousness, manifestation and more. The energetic alignment, or ‘opening’, occurs between 28 July and 12 August. However, it peaks and is most potent on 8 August (88). Adding to this year's alignment, the Earth is currently being hit with major X-class solar flares (Active sunspot AR3386 erupted 5 Aug, producing a long-duration X1.6-class solar flare) Which translates to a super powerful time for heightened manifestation potential.
let’s further explore the power of The Lion’s Gate Portal 8:8 energy and its numerological meaning… The number 8 represents forward movement, infinite possibilities, not going around and coming back, but moving in a forward direction, because change is always a constant. It is connected to abundance, prosperity, and financial well-being. It’s associated with resourcefulness, hard work, determination, and inner strength.
Spiritually 8 is seen as an equaliser or balancer, given its shape, that unites the conscious with the unconscious and the earthly with the spiritual. It is the reflection of “you will reap what you sow”.
So… What should you do during the Lion’s Gate portal?
First and foremost, simply acknowledging the fact that you are already immersed in these energies is enough. You may or may not experience different feelings or symptoms, but as long as you are here on Mother Earth, you’re involved!
- Set some clear and empowering intentions. Transfer energy (thoughts) into matter (using pen and paper) to write down your intentions and what your heart desires. NOW! - Join a Lion’s Gate portal workshop, FB or YouTube live. Many spiritual leaders hold space and facilitate group sessions, channelling sessions, group meditations, or readings.
